Questions

Before you book

Which consultation should I book?

If you want to know your options for permanent residence, including from the U.S. on an H-1B, OPT, L-1, O-1 or TN, book the 45-minute PR Strategy Session. If you have a specific question, book the 20-minute Quick Question call ($50). If you prepared your Express Entry application yourself and want it checked before you submit, book the DIY Application Review. If you’re ready to hire me for an Express Entry application after an ITA, a PGWP, or a study or work permit extension, choose “I want to start my application now, with full representation” above and send a start-file request. I’ll reply with the fee and service agreement, with no consultation needed.

Who will I speak with?

Gurvinder Singh, RCIC, personally. Every consultation is with him, not an assistant or a sales team.

Which languages can I have my consultation in?

English, Hindi and Punjabi. Gurvinder Singh speaks all three, so you can explain your situation in the language you’re most comfortable with.

Do I have to come to the office?

No. Most clients work with me entirely by video, phone and email, from across Canada and abroad. If you’re in Surrey or Greater Vancouver and prefer to meet in person, that’s available by appointment at 9850 King George Blvd, Suite 300, Surrey. To arrange it, use the contact form, email info@5kimmigration.ca or call 778-986-3366.

What should I prepare before the consultation?

A short summary of your situation and goals, your current status in Canada (if any), any past refusals, and documents you already have such as language test results or an ECA. Please don’t send passport numbers through the booking form; I’ll arrange a secure way to share documents if needed.

What happens after the consultation if I want your help?

You receive a written service agreement with the fee, what’s included and what I need from you. Work starts once it’s signed. From there I prepare the application, you review and approve everything, and I file it and handle IRCC’s follow-up until a decision.

How much does it cost to have you handle my application?

Consultations start at $50. The professional fee for an application depends on the program and how complex your file is, and it’s set out in writing before any work begins. Government fees are separate and are paid to IRCC.

Will you be my authorized representative with IRCC?

Yes. Once we sign the service agreement, Gurvinder Singh is named as your representative on the Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476), so IRCC can contact him about your file.

Prefer to ask a question first?

Send a message and you’ll hear back from Gurvinder within one business day.
