Who we help

Every file is different. Here’s where most people start.

Find the situation that sounds like yours. If none of them do, or several do, that’s normal. It’s what the first conversation is for.

In short

5K Immigration Services in Surrey, BC helps skilled workers, international students, couples and families, parents and grandparents, trades workers, Canadian employers, people with refused applications, and permanent residents with PR cards and citizenship. Clients are served in person in Surrey and by video across Canada and abroad.

Situations we help with

  • Skilled workers aiming for PR

You’re working in Canada or abroad and want to stay for good, but you’re not sure whether Express Entry, a provincial nominee program or another route is your best shot.

    How I help

I work out your real CRS and PNP position, check how your experience will be counted, and plan the route with the best odds.

  • International students and graduates

You want to study here, extend your permit, or turn your Canadian degree into a work permit and then PR.

    How I help

A study plan that makes sense, funds that are explained, and a plan for the PGWP and what comes after it.

  • Couples and families

You want your spouse, partner or children with you in Canada, from inside the country or from abroad.

    How I help

Relationship evidence organized so the officer can follow your story, and an inland or outland plan that fits your life.

  • Parents and grandparents

You want your parents here for the birth of a child, a wedding, or simply for longer stretches of time.

    How I help

Super Visas and visitor visas with the income, insurance and invitation details right the first time.

  • Trades and construction workers

You have a job offer or work in a trade, and need a work permit now with a path to PR later.

    How I help

Employer-specific permits, LMIA questions, extensions, and a plan to turn trade experience into permanent residence.

  • Canadian employers

You can’t find the people you need locally and want to hire from abroad without compliance headaches.

    How I help

LMIAs and the Global Talent Stream, intra-company transfers, C10 and other LMIA-exempt hiring, and the worker’s permit.

  • People who’ve been refused

You were refused once, or several times, and the letter doesn’t really explain why.

    How I help

I get your GCMS notes, find the real reason, and tell you honestly whether to re-apply, change course, or wait.

  • Permanent residents

Your PR card is expiring, you’ve spent time abroad, or you’re ready to become a citizen.

    How I help

I count your days first, so you know exactly where you stand before you apply.

Being upfront

What I don’t take on.

I don’t take refugee or asylum claims, Quebec immigration, or cases in Federal Court. If your situation needs something outside what I do, I’ll tell you in the first call instead of taking your file anyway.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with clients in Surrey?

No. The office is in Surrey, and I meet clients there by appointment, but most of my clients work with me by video and phone from Langley, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta and the rest of Greater Vancouver, across Canada, and abroad.

Can you help if I’m outside Canada?

Yes. Most immigration applications are filed online, so where you live doesn’t matter. I can meet you by video at a time that works across time zones.

What kinds of cases don’t you take?

I don’t take refugee or asylum claims, and I don’t handle Quebec immigration (Quebec selects its own immigrants through its own programs). I also don’t represent clients in Federal Court; for judicial review you need an immigration lawyer, and I’ll tell you when that’s the case.

I’m not sure which category I fit. What should I do?

Book the PR Strategy Session or send a message through the contact page. Most people fit more than one category, and that’s exactly what the first conversation is for.
