Find your best route to Canada
Answer a few questions and I’ll show you the five pathways that fit you best: federal first, then your province, then the rest of Canada.
How the assessment works
The short answer
It checks the federal programs first: Express Entry eligibility (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades), your estimated CRS score and the latest cut-off for each round type open to you. Then it checks the streams in your own province, then every other province and territory except Quebec, then regional pilots, work permits and family sponsorship. Each route is scored on how many of its basic requirements your answers meet, and the five best matches come first.
It uses the same CRS scoring as my CRS calculator, and I check every program rule against the government’s own pages. It runs entirely in your browser. If you want a second opinion, send me your results and I’ll tell you what I’d check first.
Questions
Assessment questions
How does the Smart Assessment choose my top 5 pathways?
It checks the federal programs first: Express Entry eligibility (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades), your estimated CRS score and the latest cut-off for each round type open to you. Then it checks the streams in your own province, then every other province and territory except Quebec, then regional pilots, work permits and family sponsorship. Each route is scored on how many of its basic requirements your answers meet, and the five best matches come first.
Is the assessment free, and is my information stored?
It’s free. Your answers stay in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to send your results to me for review.
Are the Express Entry cut-offs current?
Yes. The comparison uses IRCC’s own rounds data, refreshed every 6 hours, so the cut-offs shown are from the latest rounds of each type.
Does a strong fit mean I qualify?
No. A strong fit means your answers appear to meet a program’s basic criteria. Eligibility depends on documents, exact dates, occupation duties and officer decisions, which I confirm in a consultation.
